Let’s Act
Let’s Act
is a Strategic Partnership project coordinated by the Danish NGO Mundu, with ELA involved as a partner organization.
The project aims to educate, motivate, and provide students with the necessary tools to create a more sustainable world. We believe that reaching younger generations is crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project seeks to raise awareness among young people about the 2030 Agenda, sustainable development, and the role they play in achieving the SDGs.
For this reason, an online learning platform on the SDGs has been developed, accessible to all. The focus of the platform is “Preserving the Planet.” Additionally, given the crucial role of teachers in this process, the project includes the development of training and tools for educators to make blended and online learning meaningful.
Project overview
We offer flexible options that can be tailored to the different needs of each project.

Project Outcomes
To achieve the main goal of the project, the partnership will create and develop three resources specifically designed for teachers working with students aged 12 to 16, aiming to include the SDGs in their school curriculum:
Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Learning Platform
A Digital Learning Platform on SDGs, Free and Open to All, with the Theme “Preserve the Planet”.
Each lesson and subject will be mapped to the national curriculum, and educational materials will be available in Italian, Danish, Romanian, and English. It is recommended for students aged between 12 and 16 years.

Tools for Teachers
A Selection of Resources for Teachers and Educators. These resources are designed to support teachers and educators who aim to use the OSS Learning Platform with their students during school hours. The resources will include practical guidance on how to effectively integrate the platform into the curriculum, enhance digital skills, and apply best practices for a more engaging and interactive learning experience.
Research Report
A research report and best practices for evaluating the effectiveness of various tools in online and blended learning. The report will also include data gathered from teachers directly involved in the project.

What’s going on in the project?

Teacher Training
From April 3rd to 7th, the joint-staff training of Let’s Act! took place in Bologna.
The event aimed to review and verify the activities developed in the Teacher’s Manual. The feedback collected from the partner teachers was extremely positive, as the Manual provided them with a practical and easy-to-use tool to introduce the Let’s Act! platform and apply ICT tools and gamification to environmental education.

Let’s Act! Live Run
The partnership is pleased to invite you to participate in the testing phase of Let’s Act!
Let yourself be inspired by the platform’s content and give your students the opportunity to contribute to the design of the platform’s structure, functionality, and materials.
You can express your availability to participate in the test by filling out the form available on the page by clicking here.
Don’t miss the chance to engage your students and earn a certificate as part of a European project!

Multiplier Event
On March 3rd, a dissemination event for the project was organized in Bologna. We presented the Let’s Act learning platform and discussed the importance of sustainability in schools with teachers from 9 European countries.
Our guests had the opportunity to be among the first to try out the platform’s activities and pre-registered to test the presented material with their students. The ultimate goal was to understand the best way to present the platform for learning related to environmental dynamics in their classrooms.

TPM in Aarhus
During the Transnational Partner Meeting held in Aarhus (Denmark) from November 9th to 11th, the partners met to discuss the creation of the SDG learning platform and establish a framework to be used for the development of teaching materials. An action plan for field research was also discussed, along with a more detailed content index for the SDG platform manual for teachers.

Field Research
Starting in December 2021 and for the first few months of 2022, the partners began reaching out to various schools to initiate field research. The teachers involved in the project will be asked to complete questionnaires that will shed light on the skills and resources they have during their daily work, in order to create the most suitable online platform for them.

Online Kick-off Meeting
After several attempts to organize an in-person meeting, given the ongoing pandemic situation, the partners opted for an online kickoff meeting on 6-7-8 September 2021. During this time, the partners established a communication protocol, clarified roles and strategies for effective management, discussed the project timeline, and began planning the activities for the upcoming months.
